Strange Mist in the Tunnels of Fort AmherstGhost Tours, 1st Friday of every Month

With over 200 years of brutal military history it’s not surprising that there are some old inhabitants still hanging around the labyrinth of tunnels of Fort Amherst.  Let our experienced guide’s escort you through the tunnels by lantern light as they recall some of the countless encounters with the poor departed souls. 

Is that the smell of your perfume or is it the scent of our resident lavender lady looking for her long lost husband?  Is that the sound of the old gates slamming behind you or just your imagination?
It’s all too easy to dismiss other people’s experiences but what will you believe when it happens to you?

And if you just want to test your nerve, why not stay the night on one of our paranormal investigations held regularly throughout the year? 

Ghost tours are usually conducted during the evening of the 1st Friday of each month, and commence at 7.30pm. The duration of the tour is about an hour and 15-mins. Pre booking is essential for groups larger than 15 people. Part of the tour takes place in the open so, Warm clothing and "sensible" shoes are a must.
